The eurozone trade surplus stood at 2.8 billion euros (3.6 billion dollars) in February, the European Union's (EU) statistics bureau Eurostat said on Monday.
Seasonally-adjusted exports and imports rose by 2.4 percent and 3.5 percent respectively in February as against January.
Data shows that trade deficit was 2.8 billion euros in February 2011 and 7.9 billion euros in January.
For the 27-nation EU, trade balance for February 2012 recorded a deficit of 9.4 billion euros, lower than 10.5 billion euros a year earlier and 23.5 billion euros in January.
Seasonally-adjusted exports and imports rose by 1.3 percent and 3.2 percent respectively in February as against January. (1 euro = 1.30 U.S. dollars)
