Earlier, the Shanghai Gold Exchange opened "2011 Excellent Member Honorary Ceremony" to congratulate the members with excellent performance in national gold market last year. At the meeting, ICBC took the Shanghai Gold Exchange Award for "2011 Excellent Member- Top Honor" and won three category titles: 2011 "Excellent Member in Gold Trading", "Excellent Member in Silver Trading" and "Excellent Member in Platinum Trading".

In 2011, ICBC brought its precious metal business forward by leaps and bounds, sitting on the top of the domestic league tables in terms of transaction volume and amount. Today, ICBC is the No.1 precious metal commercial bank in China. This year marks ICBC's third year in succession wining the award, a confirmation of ICBC's effort in driving the business. An ICBC executive said, ICBC will step up the partnership with Shanghai Gold Exchange. More efforts will be spent to move forward the precious metal business to another new milestone leveraging ICBC's domain expertise, and make new contribution to the prosperity of China's gold market.
