Recently, Announcement and Award Ceremony of the 1st "China Top 10 Trustworthy and Respectable Brands and Top 100 Brands by Internet Users" and the 1st "Internet Users' Purchasing Power Forum" were held in Great Hall of the People, which attracted a lot of public attention. ICBC and its Peony Card were honored as the 1st "China Top 10 Trustworthy and Respectable Brands by Internet Users". Vice Chairman of the 9th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Wang Wenyuan, attended the ceremony and awarded the prizes. ICBC and its Peony Card once again demonstrate their branding strength and solid status in the minds of customers following the honors of "Top Trustworthy Bank" and "Top Satisfactory Bank Card" by Sina Internet Users on December 15, 2005.
Organized by People's Daily Online, this event is an annual grand meeting of brands cosponsored by national authoritative institutions such as China Internet Association, Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, Financial and Developmental Research Center of Peking University and China Branding Research Center. Since the launching of this event, more than 150 varieties of products with almost over 2000 famous brands across China have participated in survey and public presentation with totally more than 20 million click-throughs and more than 7 million votes in the event web page within nearly two months. Thus, this event becomes the most popular annual grand meeting of Chinese brands. The other brands won the honor of "China Top 10 Trustworthy and Respectable Brands by Internet Users" are Haier, Sidashu, Golden Dragon Fish, Sanlu, Citroen Dongfeng, Maotai, KingDeer and Datian.
