In an earlier announcement by Asia Legal Business (ALB) on the results of its annual ALB China Law Awards, ICBC was awarded the "Banking and Financial Service In-House Team of the Year" for its outstanding performance in the control of legal risk. This was the third year in succession since 2008 that ICBC has been conferred with such an honor.

As related by Asia Legal Business (ALB), the Award was a recognition on ICBC's excellence in legal risk control for the past one year, particularly the new attempts in consolidation management on the Group's law risk, management of related party transactions and customer complaint, and ICBC's outstanding achievements in controlling legal risks during  cross-border M&Q and setting up overseas subsidiaries.
