Conditions: |
• When submitting the remittance/transfer application, the remitter is required to provide the beneficiary’s details including the address, phone number, account name and number, SWIFT Code, bank and branch name • Remitter must submit the application form together with all required documents as specified by the Bank to comply with the regulations of the Bank of Thailand • Time and period for funds receipt may vary depending on the time zone and the receiving banks’ business hours • Limit on transaction amount also depends on the purpose of the transfer as per the regulations of the Bank of Thailand • For outward remittances amount that equivalent to USD200,000 or more, the remitter must submit the supporting documents according to the purpose of fund transfer • For the specific transaction purpose as specified by the Bank of Thailand include but not limited to Loan or Investment, the remitter must submit the supporting documents according to the purpose of fund transfer for every transaction • The transaction shall not be split to avoid providing support document. If the daily remit amount to the same beneficiary is equivalent to USD200,000 or more, the remitter must have the supporting documents • If the remittance instruction or the supporting document has been successfully submitted after 16.00 pm, the transaction will be processed on the next working day • The remitter is required to certify that he/she will not conduct any transaction that is unlawful or in breach of the exchange control laws and regulations |
Transaction Cancellation: |
In the event that the customer requests to cancel the transaction • Customers must write a request to cancel the transaction. • If the customer have a foreign currency deposit account same with the currency being remitted, the bank will refund to a foreign currency deposit account • If the customer does not have a foreign currency deposit account, the bank will refund to a Thai Baht account using the exchange rate prevailing on the date of the refund transaction for calculation. In the event that the bank cancels the transaction • If the customer is unable to submit the required documents within 5 working days after making a remittance transaction, the bank will cancel the transaction on the 6th business day after the transaction date • If the customer have a foreign currency deposit account same with the currency being remitted, the bank will refund to a foreign currency deposit account • If the customer does not have a foreign currency deposit account same with the currency being remitted, the bank will refund to a Thai Baht account using the exchange rate announced for the 1st cycle on the date of the refund transaction will be used for the calculation. |
The fund return in case the money transferred cannot reach the beneficiary's account: |
In case the customer has a foreign currency deposit account corresponding to the currency being remitted • The bank will process the refund into the account within the day that the refund is received before 4:00 p.m., but if the refund is received after 4:00 p.m., the bank will process the refund into the account within the next business day. In case the customer does not have a foreign currency deposit account corresponding to the currency being remitted • The bank will contact the customer to confirm the exchange rate. If the customer cannot be contacted or does not receive a call back within 5 working days after the date of receipt of the refund, the bank will refund on the 6th business day after the date of receipt of the refund. The exchange rate announced for the 1st cycle on the date of the refund transaction will be used for the calculation. |
Inward Remittance: |
In case the customer has a foreign currency deposit account corresponding to the currency being remitted • The bank will process the money into the account within the day when the bank receives correct and complete transaction In case the customer does not have a foreign currency deposit account corresponding to the currency being remitted • The bank will contact the customer to confirm the purpose of the transaction and the exchange rate. If the customer cannot be contacted or does not receive a call back within 30 days after the date of receiving the money transfer. The bank will ask the originated bank to confirm the purpose and consider depositing money into the account. The exchange rate announced for the 1st cycle on the transaction date will be used for the calculation. |
