ICBC is the first in China to offer Reserved Information Verification service to help you effectively distinguish false websites. "Reserved Information Verification" is a free service specially launched by ICBC to help you recognize ICBC website page. After settings the Reserved Information in Personal Internet Banking, ICBC will re-display it to you in the payment page when you shop on a third-party website, and try to make payment through ICBC Internet Banking, to help you verify whether the site and pages are legal and official.

◆How to set Reserved Information?
Please logon Personal Internet Banking, choose "Enquire/Change Reserved Information" in "Customer Service" -- "Customer Information Change".

Enter a specified paragraph of text in the input box after "Reserved Information" (such as names of favorite songs, poems). It can be a string of maximum 60 characters of any combination of Chinese characters, English alphabets or symbols. Click "Confirm" when finish. Please remember the information you reserved so that you can verify when shopping online.

In order to always keep in touch with you, please also reserve your mobile number, fixed phone number, BP number, e-mail address and so on in this page. Please make sure the accuracy of all your information and update in time to prevent your account information from inappropriately disclose to any others.

◆How reserved information works?
When you shop on the Internet and pay online, you will be linked to ICBC payment page, as shown in the following diagram:

In this page, click "Verify Reserved Information" after you enter payment card number. If that Merchant is an ICBC specified website, the information you reserved in ICBC Internet Banking will be displayed in the information box below the button. You can pay securely after verification, as follows:

The website is not an ICBC specified website if the information cannot be correctly displayed. Please stop payment immediately and call 95588 to clarify in order to avoid any monetary loss.

Besides, you should keep your information reserved safely. Please do not disclose the content of your reserved information to any others through websites, phone or short messages except in conducting ICBC services. Let both of us protect the security of your money.
