Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited successfully acquired 70% interest in The Bank of East Asia (Canada) in January 2010 and renamed The Bank of East Asia (Canada) to Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Canada) ("ICBC Canada") in July 2010. (I) Deposit Services
Two types of deposits offered: current deposit and fixed deposit, in Canadian dollar or US dollar, deposit period for fixed deposit from one month to five years. All CAD deposits are within the coverage range of Canadian deposit insurance companies. Insurance coverage for each fixed deposit can be as high as 100,000 Canadian dollars.
